Bitcoin education

Learn bitcoin properly, one-on-one.

Bespoke, plain-English sessions for beginners and beyond - at your pace, focused on your questions, with zero jargon and zero hype.

What we can cover

Every session is tailored, but these are the topics most people ask about.

Wallets & self-custody

How wallets actually work, what a seed phrase is and why it matters, and how to hold your own bitcoin safely - step by step, on your devices.

Buying & storing safely in Australia

How Australians typically buy bitcoin, what to look for in an exchange, and how to move coins into your own custody. Educational framing only - never a recommendation to buy.

Security & scam avoidance

The scams catching Australians every week, how to spot them before they cost you, and the security habits that protect everything else you do online.

Understanding the technology

How bitcoin actually works - mining, the blockchain, why there will only ever be 21 million - explained in plain English you could repeat to someone else.

Records & tax-time preparation

The records the ATO expects you to keep, and simple systems for keeping them as you go. Educational, not tax advice - your accountant does the advising.

Inheritance & backup planning

What happens to your bitcoin if something happens to you, and how to set up backups and instructions your family can actually follow.

How a session works

1. Book & pay

Choose a virtual or in-person session and a time that suits you. You pay securely at booking - no invoices, no chasing.

2. Prep note

Before we meet, you get a short note to capture your questions and setup, so the session is spent on answers - not admin.

3. Leave with a written plan

You finish with clear next steps written down: what to do, in what order, and what to safely ignore.

Frequently asked questions

Is this financial advice?

No. TLDR provides education only - I will not tell you whether to buy, sell, or hold anything. Sessions teach you how bitcoin, wallets, and self-custody work, so you can make your own decisions.

Do I need to be technical?

No. Sessions are pitched at your level, in plain English, with zero assumed knowledge. If you can use email, you can learn this - most clients start as complete beginners.

Do you sell bitcoin or take commissions?

No. I am fully independent: no exchange affiliations, no referral links, no kickbacks, and nothing to sell you. The session fee is the entire transaction, so the only agenda in the room is yours.

Can you help if I've been scammed?

I can help you understand what happened and tighten your security going forward, but I am not a recovery service - be extremely wary of anyone promising to recover lost funds, as 'recovery scams' deliberately target people who have already been scammed once. In Australia, report it to ReportCyber and Scamwatch.

Virtual or in-person?

Both. Virtual sessions run over Google Meet or Zoom anywhere in Australia. In-person sessions are available across Sydney - handy if you prefer to sit down with someone and go through things hands-on.

TLDR provides education only. Nothing on this page or in sessions is financial, legal, or tax advice, and no content is a recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
